On November 28, the Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, received a delegation led by the Special Representative of the NATO Secretary General for Women, Peace and Security, Irene Fellin.
At the interlocutor's request, the Secretary of the Security Council presented indicators on women's involvement in governance and decision-making processes in Armenia, emphasizing that the Armenian government is taking active steps to expand their participation in the security sector as well. Both sides stressed the importance of women's involvement and of their voices being heard in policy development, negotiations, and security issues.
During the meeting, the parties also touched upon the agenda of Armenia-NATO bilateral cooperation and current programs.
