The fact that a rich agenda has been formed in bilateral relations with the US was emphasized

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received a delegation led by US Deputy Secretary of State Alison Hooker.

The Prime Minister welcomed Ms. Hooker’s visit to Armenia and noted that cooperation between the two countries has recently reached a new level of intensity. According to the Head of State, the partnership with the US is now perceived in a new light by both the Government and the Armenian public. At the same time, Nikol Pashinyan highly appreciated the personal contribution of the US and President Donald Trump to the establishment of peace with Azerbaijan. The Prime Minister attached importance to the agreements reached within the framework of the Peace Summit held in Washington on August 8 and to the implementation of work in accordance with the planned schedule. The Head of State also emphasized the rich agenda formed in bilateral relations with the US, which encompasses various spheres and directions.

The US Deputy Secretary of State expressed gratitude for the hospitality, noting that he visited Yerevan to advance the vision set out by President Trump and Prime Minister Pashinyan during their August meetings. Alison Hooker pointed out that she visited Yerevan to discuss issues of deepening cooperation in the areas of trade, investment, infrastructure, regional connectivity, and security. At the same time, she highlighted the launch of bilateral working groups led by Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Sonata Kalter, whose goal is to implement the bilateral agreements adopted at the historic summit and advance Trump’s path to international peace and prosperity. The Deputy Secretary of State emphasized that continued cooperation between the United States and Armenia, coupled with progress towards a comprehensive peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan and normalization of relations with Turkey, promises to open the South Caucasus as a vital trade route. In her opinion, this will create significant benefits for both the American and Armenian peoples, which has become possible thanks to the leadership of President Trump and Prime Minister Pashinyan.

During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed issues related to the implementation of the agreements reached between Prime Minister Pashinyan and President Trump, the activities of the working groups, the implementation of the TRIPP project, and upcoming programs.
