Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan released a video, stating:
Many citizens are asking how we will manage the security threats to our country, especially since statements of peace are being made that do not align with the established logic of peace.
My answer to this question is the same: legitimacy.
Legitimacy is based on the conduct of policies within our internationally recognized, 29,743 square kilometer sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia. This legitimacy will allow us to do two things. First, unlike before, we will not have any restrictions on establishing military-technical cooperation with any partner worldwide, nor on acquiring heavy weapons as needed. This has happened in practice, thanks to our ideology of Real Armenia, as countries one by one lift restrictions on cooperation with us on armaments and military equipment.
All this is not needed for war; it is necessary for peace. Basing all our positions and policies on our sovereign and legitimate rights limits others in all cases and increases our capabilities in all cases.
Legitimacy is a key factor that must be ensured to ensure our long-term security, territorial integrity, and sovereignty.
Based on legitimacy, we can develop our army, acquire weapons and military equipment, and implement reforms in collaboration with international partners, which is what we are doing.
