Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan received a delegation led by Johannes Luchner, Deputy Director-General for Migration and Home Affairs of the European Commission (EC).
The meeting was also attended by Arpine Sargsyan, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, and Vasilis Maragos, Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia.
The interlocutors mutually emphasized the successes recorded within the framework of the visa liberalization dialogue launched last year, as a result of which the Visa Liberalization Action Plan is being transferred to the Government of the Republic of Armenia.
In this context, Mher Grigoryan reaffirmed Armenia's commitment to ensuring the full and effective implementation of the Action Plan and presented the reforms that have already been implemented and those planned for the country.
The EC Deputy Director-General for Migration and Home Affairs welcomed the efforts of the Government of the Republic of Armenia and emphasized that Armenia has progressed the fastest along this path.
Following the bilateral meeting, the official handover of the Visa Liberalization Action Plan by the EC Deputy Director-General for Migration and Home Affairs, Johannes Luchner, to the RA Minister of Internal Affairs, Arpine Sargsyan, as the country's chief negotiator, took place with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan.
