Armenia is perceived as a friendly country in Hungary

President Vahagn Khachaturyan, who is on a working visit to Doha within the framework of the Second UN Conference on Social Development, met with Hungarian President Tamas Sulyok.

During the meeting, possible ways to strengthen relations between Armenia and Hungary were discussed. The parties highlighted the practical cooperation established in the air transportation and pharmaceutical sectors, emphasizing the need to expand ties in the economic sphere in particular.

The presidents also highlighted the critical role of the Armenian community in Hungary in strengthening relations between the two countries. Tamas Sulyok noted that thanks to the active activities of the Armenian community, Armenia is perceived as a friendly country in Hungary.

President Vahagn Khachaturyan highly appreciated the respectful and inclusive policy adopted by the Hungarian authorities towards both Hungarian-Armenians and national minorities in general.

Both sides emphasized the continuity of high-level mutual visits and meetings, which provide a new impetus to the activation of cooperation between business circles and the deepening of mutual understanding between the two peoples.
