The importance of the Armenia-EU partnership, grounded in shared values, was emphasized

On October 28, the Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, received a delegation led by the Deputy Managing Director for Eastern Europe and Russia of the European External Action Service, Odron Perkauskiene, and the Director for Eastern Neighborhood and Institutional Development of the Directorate-General for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations of the European Commission, Adrien Kiral.

The Secretary of the Security Council welcomed the delegation’s visit to Armenia and highlighted the importance of the Armenia-EU partnership, grounded in shared values.

At the request of the delegation members, Armen Grigoryan presented the joint declaration signed in Washington on August 8, the broad economic opportunities to be provided as a result of the unblocking of regional channels, and the latest developments in the process of normalizing Armenia-Azerbaijan relations.

During the meeting, the interlocutors exchanged views on the agenda of bilateral cooperation and discussed current programs.
