Aliyev and Erdogan invited to participate in the summit in Yerevan (VIDEO)
Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan announced that the presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey have been invited to Yerevan to participate in the 8th summit of the European Political Community in 2026.
“Yes, we have submitted invitations. We have not sent the documents yet, but we have invited them orally at the highest level to participate,” he said, adding that he could not say anything about their participation.
“All this is very fresh, and there has not been an opportunity to discuss the details yet,” he noted.
Mirzoyan also stressed that Armenia is moving towards reconciliation. “I am not saying that we are ready to see President Aliyev in Yerevan and Prime Minister Pashinyan in Baku today, but I am saying that one day this situation will occur. We must go that way.”
