On October 20, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, met with the Head of the Danish Delegation to the Inter-Parliamentary Union, Søren Søndergaard, in Geneva. The interlocutors touched upon the topic of developing parliamentary cooperation between the two countries, discussing a wide range of issues related to Armenian-Danish relations.
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia presented his interlocutor with details of the peace process established between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Discussions were also held on Armenia-EU relations and other issues of mutual interest.
Alen Simonyan also drew his counterpart’s attention to the issue of prisoners of war and illegally held persons in Azerbaijan, highlighting the issue of those considered missing.
