The German government is ready to support the agreements reached between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Washington on August 8.

According to "Armenpress", German Ambassador to Armenia Claudia Bush said this in a conversation with journalists in Syunik province, referring to the documents signed between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Washington.

The ambassador recalled that the German government has been heavily involved in the negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

"We have organized meetings in Berlin, we have done work, and the leaderships of Armenia and Azerbaijan have been grateful. Now we need to look to the future and understand the next steps. We have seen progress in the steps taken in Washington. The German government is ready to support these steps. This is a long road, but we have already seen that it has been peaceful for a long time; we have not seen any clashes, which gives hope that we can continue to follow this path," the ambassador said.
