Alen Simonyan drew the attention of the Swedish Ambassador to the issue of prisoners held in Baku

On October 10, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Sweden to Armenia, Eva Sundquist. Congratulating the Ambassador on her appointment, Alen Simonyan expressed hope that cooperation between the two countries will gain new momentum through her activities.
The interlocutors discussed issues related to bilateral relations, Armenia-EU cooperation, the development of inter-parliamentary ties, regional developments, and the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Alen Simonyan also drew the Ambassador’s attention to the issue of prisoners of war in Azerbaijan, illegally detained persons, and missing persons.
