Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan noted at a regular session of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS in Dushanbe that, despite the peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the issues on the bilateral agenda remain unresolved.
“We still need to establish mutual trade, economic, political, and cultural ties, resolve humanitarian issues, and this is not an easy task, taking into account the long history of hostility. However, the established peace gives us confidence that these issues will be gradually resolved,” he said.
The Prime Minister congratulated not only Armenia and Azerbaijan, but also all CIS member states on the establishment of peace. “Because I know that you all really wanted this to happen, and it happened. Peace is now a reality, and I congratulate all of us on this occasion and thank our CIS partners for the support they have provided during this time,” he said.
