Structural changes in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs: a new department has been created

By the decision of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, structural changes have been made in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia. In particular, the European Integration Department has been established. It was established by separating it from the European Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“Guidance on the provisions of Article 9, Part 1, Clauses 1 and 2, Part 3, Part 1 of Article 21 of the Law “On Regulation of Administrative Legal Relations” and Articles 33 and 34 of the Law “On Regulatory Legal Acts”:

1. The following changes have been made to the structure of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia (hereinafter referred to as the Ministry):

1) To create the European Integration Department, which is the main professional structural subdivision of the Ministry, by separating it from the European Department.

2) To merge the Political Programming Department with the Department for Coordination of Diplomatic Operations.

2. In this regard, the following amendment and supplement shall be made to paragraph 30 of the Appendix to the Decision of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia “On Approval of the Statute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia” No. 746-L of June 11, 2018:

1) to repeal subparagraph 13. 2) to add subparagraph 16 with the following content: “16) European Integration Department.”

3. This decision shall enter into force on the day following its publication,” the decision states.
