European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has reflected on her meeting with Prime Minister Pashinyan in Copenhagen. Leyen wrote about this on her X page, describing the meeting as meaningful.
“We had a significant conversation with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
We congratulated Armenia on the significant progress achieved in Washington with the President of Azerbaijan, with the support of Trump. This is an important step towards peace and stability in the region.
We are determined to deepen our cooperation. Armenia is a key partner of the EU.
Through our “Global Gateway” strategy, we will promote regional connectivity, covering trade, transport, energy and digital sectors.
We look forward to the next summit of the European Political Community in Yerevan in the first half of 2026,” the European Commission President wrote.
