Vahagn Khachaturyan received the German Ambassador

President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Armenia Claudia Busch on the occasion of the National Day of the Federal Republic of Germany.

President Khachaturyan, welcoming the Ambassador, congratulated her and the friendly people and authorities of Germany, and wished them prosperity, peace, and new successes.

Ambassador Claudia Busch, in turn, thanked the reception and offered warm wishes, noting that during her diplomatic mission, she is making every effort to strengthen the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, the importance of both deepening and developing bilateral relations and fostering closer cooperation within the European Union framework was emphasized. The parties noted that the partnership between Armenia and Germany contributes not only to the strengthening of political and economic ties but also to ensuring democratic values ​​and stability in the region.

During the conversation, the European Political Community Summit and the COP-17 Conference on Biodiversity to be held in Armenia in 2026 were discussed. Ambassador Bush noted that these important international events are in the focus of the German side's attention and emphasized that Germany is ready to provide its support and ensure broad participation.

The President and the Ambassador also highly appreciated the support provided by Germany over the years towards the reforms of democratic and state institutions in Armenia, which is of great importance for the country's development and European integration process.
