Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has touched upon the possibility of the return of displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh, noting that he does not consider it realistic:
“Our compatriots who are refugees from Nagorno-Karabakh should be resettled in Armenia. We have already launched a housing program for them.
People are asking about the realism of the return of refugees to Nagorno-Karabakh. I am telling you frankly that I do not consider it realistic,” he said.
Pashinyan also stressed: “I consider the topic of the return of all refugees in this context to be dangerous for the peace process, because conflicts, including the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, began, it seems, with the raising of simple humanitarian issues, and grew into a long-term conflict that we all know,” he said.
