The 44-day war was in some sense part of a hybrid war. Prime Minister

In his speech at the PACE, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that the tools against democracy were used in Armenia at the most vulnerable period, immediately after the 44-day war, when there was a deep political crisis.

“The 44-day war was in some sense part of a hybrid war, the target of which was the statehood and independence of the Republic of Armenia,” he said.

According to him, it was democracy that saved the country’s statehood and independence.

The Prime Minister noted that war and disinformation were the tools used by anti-democratic forces to demand that they hand over power. “However, we refused to hand over power. We can only return the power we received from the people to the people, and we have organized early parliamentary elections.”

He recalled that the KP not only received the majority of voters, but also formed a constitutional majority. “The people understood that it was this election that would guarantee their, the people’s, power.”
