The concept of a post-election process has disappeared from political life. Prime Minister

The concept of a post-election process has disappeared from Armenia's political life, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced in his speech at the PACE.

"While before the Velvet Revolution of 2018, it was the most frequently used term in the country's political life. People pinned their hopes for change on post-election processes, because they knew that the elections would be rigged by the authorities, as a result of which there would be an opportunity for post-election processes," he said.

At the same time, according to Pashinyan, electoral bribery continues to be used by some forces in the country. "The problem is not only that law enforcement agencies require great effort to uncover such cases, but there are also no practical mechanisms to determine the extent of the impact of electoral bribery on elections."

He also noted: "The majority of media resources are under the control of the forces that were ousted from power in the 2018 revolution and are currently acting as the opposition, who spend part of their illegally accumulated wealth on spreading disinformation to save themselves from the process of confiscating illegal assets. In many cases, they receive support from like-minded foreign forces. Taking practical measures against this disinformation campaign can be interpreted as an attempt to restrict freedom of speech, and the lack of action is viewed as the impoverishment and defenselessness of democracy."
