Alen Simonyan met with the President of the Spanish Senate

RA NA President Alain Simonyan, who is on a working visit to Spain, met with Pedro Rollán, President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Spain. Alain Simonyan thanked his colleague for the warm welcome, to which Pedro Rollán emphasized the importance of such visits in terms of strengthening bilateral ties:

In addition to the issues related to the development of inter-parliamentary relations, the topics related to the RA-EU relations, the democratic reforms underway in Armenia, and the EU observation mission based in Armenia were at the core of the discussions of the interlocutors: Separate reference was made to the "Trump's Path for International Peace and Prosperity" (TRIPP) communication program.

Highlighting the agreements reached in Washington on August 8 and the signed documents, the President of the Senate stated that Spain is waiting for the final signing of the peace agreement, adding that the establishment of peace has no alternative.

Alain Simonyan also drew the attention of his colleague to the prisoners in Azerbaijan and the issue of persons illegally detained, highlighting the problem of missing persons.
