Prime Minister receives Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received a delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister of Bulgaria Atanas Zafirov.

The Prime Minister welcomed the visit to Armenia and noted that the high-level political and cultural relations between the two countries should be the basis for the development and deepening of economic cooperation. Nikol Pashinyan expressed hope that more active work will be carried out in this direction as a result of Mr. Zafirov’s visit.

The Deputy Prime Minister of Bulgaria expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and congratulated the Republic of Armenia on its Independence Day. Atanas Zafirov emphasized the centuries-old ties between the two countries and their peoples, adding that his country attaches importance to the expansion of trade and economic relations with the Republic of Armenia.

In this regard, the interlocutors noted the need to hold business forums and take steps to promote cooperation in various sectors of the economy.

They also exchanged views on Armenia-EU cooperation, as well as other regional issues of importance. The Deputy Prime Minister of Bulgaria welcomed the declaration and the establishment of peace signed between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Washington on August 8.
