Armenia-EU cooperation, strategic partnership: Mirzoyan's meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands
On September 17, within the framework of his visit to the Netherlands, RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with his Dutch counterpart David van Vell. The ministers held a discussion first in a private format, then in an expanded format with the participation of delegations. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported this.
Ararat Mirzoyan and David van Vell discussed joint work aimed at deepening the strategic partnership between Armenia and the Netherlands, including through the implementation of the joint declaration signed between the two countries in March.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the opportunities for expanding economic cooperation and business ties in parallel with the active political dialogue. Minister Mirzoyan highly appreciated the support of the Netherlands for the development of trade capabilities and expansion of access to the European market, as well as the additional financial allocation to Armenia within the framework of the World Bank’s “Global Facility for Concessional Financing”.
Minister Mirzoyan emphasized that Armenia attaches great importance to cooperation with the Netherlands, also within the framework of the Armenia-EU partnership. In this context, steps aimed at deepening the collaboration through the consistent use of the existing EU tools and strengthening the resilience of Armenia were discussed.
The meeting also touched upon issues of cooperation on multilateral platforms.
The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and the Netherlands exchanged views on international and regional developments. Minister Mirzoyan, expressing gratitude for the position expressed by the Netherlands in connection with the important agreements reached between Armenia and Azerbaijan on August 8, presented the details.
