Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan touched upon the peace agreement signed between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Washington.
“The declaration signed on August 8 is a great achievement for Armenia, for the people of Armenia, for our children. And not only for Armenia. This is an achievement for the entire region, for everyone, for all the peoples of the region, after which, it is assumed, we will be able to create that peace for a long, long time,” he said.
According to the mayor, “August 8 was an important milestone.” “I deeply believe that by signing that declaration, we have taken the first most important steps for peace.”
