On August 8, peace was signed in Washington, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced.
According to him, a negotiation process on the Nagorno-Karabakh issue has been ongoing since 1994. During that time, apart from the draft declaration, there was no other draft document. “They say, ‘Well, a declaration was signed.’ Well, if the declaration is such a thing, why did the state, the people’s energy, and the entire agenda focus on that declaration for 30 years?” he said. According to the Prime Minister, the established peace should be developed towards institutional strengthening, “despite those who want to develop it from this point towards institutional destruction.”
According to the Prime Minister, peace has been established, and it is beyond the plans of many. “And now what should be done with that peace, to make it crumble. It is impossible not to see that there are forces with such interests both in Armenia and in the near and far vicinity.”
