"We have been an independent state for 34 years, and we just need to understand that partnership is not marriage. It is friendship," Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said.
According to him, the difference is that if a married person has more than one partner, it is called treason. "And when you have more than one friend, it means you are a normal person. Not only do you have a friend, but your circle of friends also expands."
According to him, foreign policy is about having many partners.
The Prime Minister also noted that the Washington agreements provide an opportunity to deepen Armenia-Russia and Armenia-Iran relations. "I want to say directly that during the phone conversation and meeting with the President of the Russian Federation, and during the meeting with the President of Iran, I spoke about the opportunities that are opening up to deepen our relations."
According to the Prime Minister, there were concerns even before August 8, and there will always be. "It's a natural process, and neither politics nor diplomacy nor foreign relations are about anything else; they are about one thing: the parties share their concerns and begin to look at how they can cooperate to manage and alleviate those concerns."
