“The agenda will include the entire agenda of the Armenia-Turkey normalization process. The steps that have been taken so far and those that are still in progress will be discussed,” said Ruben Rubinyan, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly and Special Representative of the Republic of Armenia for the Normalization of Armenia-Turkey Relations, in the National Assembly, referring to the upcoming meeting of the delegations of Turkey and Armenia in Armenia.

According to him, several topics have been discussed in recent years, and a recent meeting focused on the technical parameters necessary for the restoration of the Kars-Gyumri railway.

Rubinyan also touched upon the agreement to open the border for citizens of third countries and holders of diplomatic passports, emphasizing that it had not been implemented due to no fault of Armenia. “We hope that it will be implemented.”

Regarding the prospects for the normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations, he noted: “If there is political will, and we definitely have that will, it can happen quickly.”
