On September 5, delegations of the two states, led by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Mher Grigoryan and Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev, paid mutual visits to the territory of the Republic of Armenia and the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
In accordance with the agreements reached in Washington on August 8, the parties discussed issues related to the demarcation and demining of the relevant section(s) of the border line, as well as the restoration and construction of necessary infrastructure and the timing of their implementation, with the aim of synchronizing actions in the field of creating communications.
The heads of the delegations exchanged views on organizing the next meeting of the Commission on Demarcation and Border Security between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as the State Commission on Demarcation of the State Border between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia.
