The Prime Minister attended the event dedicated to Armenia's National Day in Japan.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited the Expo 2025 World Exhibition in Osaka, within the framework of which an event dedicated to Armenia's National Day was held.

The Prime Minister, accompanied by the organizers of the exhibition, first toured the exhibition pavilions, then made a note in the guest book of honor. This was followed by a traditional Japanese tea ceremony, which was attended by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, members of the Armenian delegation, and Hisashi Matsumoto, Deputy Parliamentary Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan.

Prime Minister Pashinyan visited the Armenian pavilion opened at the exhibition. The Armenian pavilion, titled "Pillars of Today and Tomorrow," presents Armenia's leading innovative programs, cultural heritage, investment opportunities, and advanced educational initiatives. Those responsible noted that the number of visitors to the Armenian pavilion has exceeded one million since the exhibition began.

Then, the opening ceremony of the event dedicated to Armenia's National Day took place. First, the national anthems of Armenia and Japan were played, after which Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Deputy Commissioner-General of the World Expo Shigetoshi Ikeyama made speeches.

In his speech, Prime Minister Pashinyan, in particular, noted:

"Dear Deputy Commissioner Mr. Ikeyama,
Distinguished guests, visitors,

I am pleased to welcome you today to the event dedicated to the National Day of Armenia, held within the framework of the World Expo "EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan."

First of all, allow me to congratulate our friendly Japan on hosting and successfully holding the world's largest economic event, the World Expo "EXPO 2025", in Osaka this year. I would also like to thank our Japanese partners for their support and warm welcome.

As you know, the World Expo has been an essential platform for more than a century to present the latest achievements and innovations of humanity in various fields. Armenia is participating in this important event for the 5th time. It is a great honor for us to participate in the World Expo here in Osaka, which presents an excellent opportunity to share the developments and innovations taking place globally in various fields, including economy, technology, healthcare, industry, and more.

Dear friends,

We have arrived in Osaka to share the achievements of today's Armenia, built on our rich history and culture, and our vision for a peaceful and prosperous future, grounded in the philosophy of economic and technological progress, as well as innovative education.

In the Armenian pavilion, titled "Pillars of Today and Tomorrow," four of the pillars symbolize Armenia's "today": history, culture, innovation, and regional opportunities. The other four pillars symbolizing the future of Armenia represent the philosophy of technological, innovative education and Armenia's vision for the future of learning and teaching, in the context of which Armenian future-oriented educational initiatives are presented: Tumo, COAF, Armat, and new projects put forward by Armenia: "Academic City" and "Engineering City".

In this context, I am proud to note that on June 1 of this year, the Gunma branch of the Tumo Center for Creative Technologies was officially opened in Japan, providing access to 1,500 young people living in the prefecture's communities. With Tumo's unique, original educational model, programming, animation, filmmaking, game creation, 3D modeling, drawing, and motion graphics will be taught here.

Dear attendees,

Participation in this most significant event of the economic world, taking place in Osaka, provides a unique opportunity not only to the Japanese people but also to the world to present Armenia's economic, cultural, technological, educational, and tourist attractions, creating new perspectives for the further development and deepening of cooperation in these areas.

The pavilion also pays special attention to Armenia's vision of peace for the future, the implementation of the "Crossroads of Peace", which we see as a situation where countries live with open borders, are connected by active economic, political, and cultural ties, and are committed to resolving all issues through diplomacy and dialogue.

Once again, I would like to welcome all attendees and invite everyone to visit the Armenian pavilion to share Armenia's vision for a prosperous and peaceful future.

Thank you."

The Armenian pavilion within the framework of EXPO 2025 will operate until October 13.
