At the 4th Azerbaijan-Turkey Energy Forum in Izmir, Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov noted the importance of the Syunik route for energy cooperation between the two countries.
The minister referred to it as the “Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity,” noting that it will ensure the delivery of both hydrocarbons from the Caspian Sea and Central Asia, as well as “green energy” through Nakhchivan to Turkey and international markets.
According to Shahbazov, this corridor will connect the central part of Azerbaijan with Nakhchivan, as well as provide a new impetus to energy and transportation communications with Turkey and the Turkic states.
The minister noted the need to accelerate the establishment of electrical connections between Nakhchivan and Turkey.
