On September 2, RA Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan received Mehdi Sobhani, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia, on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission in the Republic of Armenia.
The Minister highly appreciated the Ambassador’s contribution to the strengthening of RA-IRI relations and expressed gratitude for the joint, practical work and the significant achievements that resulted.
During the meeting, issues related to the bilateral agenda, as well as the latest developments in regional and international security, were discussed.
At the end of the meeting, Defense Minister Suren Papikyan awarded the Ambassador a departmental medal for practical cooperation.
