The meeting between the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, and the Prime Minister of Vietnam, Pham Minh Chinh, took place within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
The interlocutors, emphasizing the further expansion and deepening of friendly relations and political dialogue between Armenia and Vietnam, discussed the agenda of mutual visits and diplomatic contacts, the activation of cooperation in the field of trade and investment, and the promotion of business ties. The parties noted with satisfaction that, in recent years, bilateral trade turnover has been growing; however, there is considerable potential to increase the volumes consistently.
In this regard, the active activities of the Armenia-Vietnam Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation were highlighted, as well as the holding of political consultations between the foreign ministries.
Reference was made to mutual support on international platforms, deepening ties in the tourism sector, and opportunities for facilitating reciprocal visits.
