“Mr. O’Brien was removed from his position due to President Trump’s tenure, and now he has the task of explaining why President Trump’s administration could do what it could not do. What Mr. O’Brien said is both strange and, on the other hand, not at all strange,” Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at the briefing.
According to him, O’Brien talks about Armenia’s vulnerability, but Armenia was the most vulnerable during his tenure. “I want to remind you of the events of 2021-23. We have never been satisfied with the response and work that the then-current United States administration carried out to support the peace agenda in our region.”
According to the Prime Minister, O’Brien was removed from his position and will not comment on his emotional assessments. "If he has lost his job, he should engage in self-reflection, not try to blame the Republic of Armenia for losing his job."
