Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan touched upon Armenian-Russian relations. “I am glad that they are waiting for me in Russia, I know that they are always waiting for me in Russia, and I am always waiting for the next opportunity to visit Russia,” he said, adding that there is an active practice of mutual visits. “Such a visit is planned for the end of September. Before that, I will have contact with the Russian President in Beijing,” he said, recalling that he had already had a telephone conversation with Putin.
Regarding the prospect of Armenia joining the EU, he said:
“Membership in the EU and the EAEU at the same time is not possible, and when that point comes, when the choice is final and inevitable, we will make an appropriate decision.”
According to him, if they officially announce the prospect of joining the EU, then it is possible.
