Grigoryan and Shoigu discussed the agreements reached between Armenia and Azerbaijan

On August 21, Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Armenia Armen Grigoryan had a telephone conversation with Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Sergey Shoigu.

A. Grigoryan presented to his interlocutor the agreements reached in Washington on August 8 in the process of normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan and expressed confidence that peace has already been established in the region, which corresponds to the interests of all countries in the area.

Grigoryan also spoke about the unblocking of the region's communication routes and the economic opportunities that will be provided as a result, emphasizing their importance from the point of view of the interests of all countries.

S. Shoigu, in turn, presented the results of the meeting between Russian President V. Putin and US President D. Trump in Alaska and the further course of action.

During the telephone conversation, the interlocutors also discussed issues related to the RA-Russian agenda.
