European Council President Antonio Costa has welcomed the Armenian-Azerbaijani peace agreement and described it as a positive step. Costa wrote about this on his X page.
“This week, I had very positive phone conversations with President Aliyev and Prime Minister Pashinyan.
The historic initialling of the Agreement on Peace and the Establishment of Interstate Relations is a significant step towards lasting peace for both countries and the wider region.
The EU remains fully committed to its implementation and to strengthening regional ties, helping communities overcome long-standing conflicts and move towards lasting peace, stability, and prosperity,” the European Council President wrote.
