On August 11, RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan had a telephone conversation with Kaja Kallas, Vice-President of the European Commission and High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

Minister Mirzoyan, referring to the Washington agreements of August 8, emphasized the importance of the initialing of the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan as the most critical milestone recorded so far in the process of normalizing relations between the two countries.
Ararat Mirzoyan emphasized that the agreement reached on unblocking regional communications, in particular the implementation of the “Trump Roadmap for International Peace and Prosperity” project, will have a significant impact on expanding connectivity in the South Caucasus and beyond.
Ararat Mirzoyan thanked Kaja Kallas for the EU’s congratulations.
The interlocutors also touched upon the issues of developing the Armenia-EU partnership and the importance of ensuring the inclusiveness of regional programs.
