In Washington, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov signed the Agreement on the Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan in the presence of the leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan, and the United States.
By the Agreement reached with Azerbaijan, the initialed text of the Agreement will be made public on Monday evening, August 11.
The ministers also signed a joint statement to the OSCE on the closure of the OSCE Minsk Group processes and related structures.
In his post on the X platform, Minister Mirzoyan noted: “This is a truly historic moment for peace. A significant and symbolic day for the Republic of Armenia, the region, and the world. Today, we also declare stronger interconnectedness, prosperity, and a brighter future for our generations.”
