The “Trump Road” project is not only about the railway, potential pipelines - gas pipelines, oil pipelines, power lines - that will pass through Armenia are of key importance here, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in a conversation with reporters in Washington.
He noted that the blockade of Armenia is being lifted. Thus, Armenia will have the opportunity to have a railway connection with the outside world.
“The document signed today clearly states: the opening of roads is carried out based on territorial integrity, sovereignty, jurisdiction, and reciprocity. The term “corridor” is not there,” he said.
“Today, a truly historic event took place. We can record that peace has been established between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Of course, we must also continue to institutionalize the established peace, and this process that has begun will, of course, continue,” the Prime Minister noted.
According to Pashinyan, what happened is an essential success for both Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as the entire region.
