The delegation led by Nikol Pashinyan includes the Minister of Foreign Affairs, deputy ministers, the Prime Minister's Chief of Staff, the Secretary of the Security Council, and the Minister of High-Tech Industry.
Thus, today, from 22:30, bilateral Pashinyan-Trump and then Pashinyan-Trump-Aliyev trilateral talks are expected in Washington. They will be broadcast live on the First News Channel, Channel One, and the "News" social platforms.
"News" correspondents also found out in Washington, in off-camera conversations with experts familiar with the issue, what expectations there are from today's talks, and what documents can be signed.
According to the circulating theses, the topic of the corridor is being closed. There is no corridor; instead, roads are being opened, marking the unblocking of the Republic of Armenia. Armenia and Azerbaijan will use each other's roads on the same terms, within the framework of each other's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and jurisdiction, based on reciprocity. Armenia will receive a railway connection with the outside world: to Iran, to China, Central Asia, and Russia.
Infrastructures passing through Armenia will be under the sovereignty of the Republic of Armenia; the laws of the Republic of Armenia, state institutions of the Republic of Armenia, and law enforcement agencies will operate.
The Peace Agreement will be initialed in the presence of the US President. The parties, in the presence of the US President, undertake to maintain peace, exclude retaliation, and abandon the practice of seizing territories from each other, today and in the future, based on the fact that the regions of the Armenian SSR and the Azerbaijani SSR are identical to the territories of independent Armenia and Azerbaijan. Under these circumstances, the existence of the OSCE Minsk Group is not only meaningless but may also call into question the sincerity of the parties. Consequently, the parties will jointly appeal to the OSCE to dissolve the Minsk Group. Thus, de facto peace will be established between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
According to experts, the Peace Agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan must be signed and ratified in Washington, a process for which the US President also assumes responsibility.
The Trump Way is being seen as a strategic infrastructure project to create new regional communication networks and promote international ties. The project could become the practical basis for an Armenia-US investment agreement.
