The President met with the Prime Minister of Georgia

Within the framework of the UN conference in Turkmenistan, RA President Vahagn Khachaturyan met with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.

As reported by the press service of the Georgian government, the meeting discussed good-neighborly relations and strategic partnership between Georgia and the Republic of Armenia, successful cooperation in various fields, as well as the processes taking place in the region.

Particular importance was attached to peace and stability in the South Caucasus.

The Georgian Prime Minister noted that the joint statement of Armenia and Azerbaijan on the completion of negotiations on a peace agreement is an essential step in that direction. Irakli Kobakhidze once again reaffirmed the readiness of the Georgian government to support the dialogue and thereby ensure lasting peace and stability in the region.
