Secretary of the National Security Council of the Republic of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, had a telephone conversation with Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ali Akbar Ahmadian.
A. Grigoryan expressed condolences to the family members of those who died as a result of the 12-day Israel-Iran war and wished a speedy recovery to the wounded.
The interlocutors discussed issues on the agenda of Armenia-Iran bilateral cooperation.
A. Grigoryan emphasized the position of the Republic of Armenia on the issue of unblocking regional channels, based on territorial integrity, sovereignty, and jurisdiction. A.A. Ahmadian reaffirmed the Islamic Republic of Iran's position on the issue of unblocking and expressed support for the Republic of Armenia's stance.
The latest regional developments were also discussed, within the framework of which Grigoryan and Ahmadian emphasized the imperative of maintaining security and stability in the region.
