On July 1, in Seville, within the framework of the Fourth International Conference on Development, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia Robert Abisoghomonyan participated in and delivered a speech at the discussion entitled "Revitalizing International Development Cooperation."
In his speech, the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia emphasized the importance of ensuring sustainable and long-term international support for the development of the least developed, landlocked, and small island developing countries.
The Deputy Foreign Minister reaffirmed Armenia's commitment to implementing the final document adopted as a result of the Conference, the "Seville Compromise", and emphasized the need for strong political will from member states to build a more prosperous and sustainable future.
Deputy Foreign Minister Robert Abisoghomonyan presented Armenia's vision for the effective holding of the 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17) to be held in Yerevan in 2026, emphasizing the need for concerted efforts by all stakeholders in implementing the first global review of commitments to the Kunming-Montreal Global Framework for Biodiversity, planned within the framework of the Conference.
