RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, speaking about the agreement on the Armenian-Azerbaijani peace treaty, noted that peace should be institutional, namely through the signing of a peace treaty.
The Foreign Minister noted that if Azerbaijan’s concerns are sincere, the most direct way to dispel them is to sign a peace treaty.
According to him, the contacts are for explaining to each other, becoming more understandable, and dispelling concerns. “I hope that these contacts and negotiations will lead to both the signing of the treaty and the resolution of other issues.”
EU Special Representative Kaya Kalas, speaking about the Armenian-Azerbaijani peace treaty, said, “We are encouraged by the settlement process between Armenia and Azerbaijan. We would like to see the conclusion of the process as soon as possible. We need stability all over the world.”
