The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, announced that there will be no "Zangezur Corridor" but a "Crossroads of Peace."
"Both we and Turkey want roads. Let's open the borders. For example, we want to normalize relations with the European Union. Turkey also has active economic ties, and they are developing, including with Central Asia and China, and as a result, have more communication routes. We put a title "Turan" on all of that, and that's it, wow, wow… Let's live, too; let others live as well as we can. There will be no "Zangezur Corridor"; there will be a "Crossroads of Peace."""" That means cargo transportation is based on mutual respect, recognition of jurisdiction, and sovereignty," he announced.
The Prime Minister recalled the famous joke about a dragon on a waterbed, noting that even if a dragon wants to drink water, let it drink; what's the problem?
"This is the same as the fear of our Armenians that, oh, their goal is Turan. What do they want? Do they want to come and go through the territory of Armenia... well, let them come and go; is that bad? We offer it through our "Crossroads of Peace," we say, go. In the 21st century, can you imagine a country whose borders are closed?" Pashinyan emphasized.
