On the telephone, RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan spoke with Kaja Kallas, Vice-President of the European Commission and High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.
The interlocutors discussed the situation in the region, including Iran. They exchanged views on efforts aimed at ensuring regional stability. In the context of humanitarian issues, they touched upon the possibility of evacuating third-country nationals from Iran through the territory of the Republic of Armenia and the recorded indicators.
The RA Foreign Minister and the EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy also touched upon the recent discussions regarding normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Regarding RA-EU cooperation, Ararat Mirzoyan and Kaja Kallas exchanged views on the agenda of upcoming contacts.
