By today's decision of the Prime Minister, Armen Abazyan has been dismissed from the position of Director of the National Security Service.
"Guidance on Part 5 of Article 9 of the Law "On Public Service" and Part 2 of Article 4.1 of the Law "On National Security Bodies":
1. To dismiss Armen Abazyan as Director of the National Security Service.
2. To temporarily assign the duties of the Director of the National Security Service to Deputy Director of the National Security Service Andranik Simonyan," the decision states.
It should be noted that Armen Abazyan was appointed Director of the National Security Service on November 8, 2020.
