The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Alain Simonyan, met with the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Alain Berset. Welcoming the interlocutor, Alain Simonyan thanked the Secretary General of the Council of Europe for his visit to Armenia.
The parties’ discussions focused on issues related to Armenia's ongoing democratic reforms, the establishment of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and regional stability.
Alain Simonyan also drew the attention of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe to the issue of prisoners of war, illegally detained persons, and missing persons in Azerbaijan.
