RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan referred to the Azerbaijani attack in the direction of Jermuk in 2022 and the position of the Russian Federation and the CSTO at that time. "In August 2022, the Russian side presented a mediation proposal to the RA and Azerbaijan again based on good intentions. The Armenian side agreed to these proposals, but Azerbaijani did not give a positive position. At the end of August, we realized there was no unified positive position. Then, in the first half of September, we saw the attack of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces in the direction of Jermuk and the violation of the territorial integrity of the RA," he noted.

Mirzoyan recalled that allies, including the Russian Federation, were informed about this.

Speaking about the Nagorno-Karabakh issue and responding to Lavrov's words that the RA recognized Nagorno-Karabakh as part of Azerbaijan, he noted: "The Russian Federation has emphasized at the highest level the belonging of Nagorno-Karabakh to Azerbaijan, the Republic of Armenia does not dispute this approach. The Republic of Armenia I would like to take this opportunity to say again that it recognizes the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan based on the Alma-Ata Declaration and naturally expects and has received assurances from Azerbaijan on the recognition of the territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia, again based on the Alma-Ata Declaration," he said.
