"We can endlessly focus on the past, but." Mirzoyan

Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated there are problems in Armenian-Russian relations that neither Armenia nor Russia deny.

“We have two choices: to build on differences and direct the further course of these differences in a more negative direction, or vice versa, to build on shared interests, common interests, of course, ensuring mutual respect, ensuring respect for each other’s sovereignty, sovereign decisions, and to direct relations in a positive direction.

We can endlessly focus on the past; a little while ago, we spoke about past events in a particular episode. But my conviction, the position of the Republic of Armenia is that we are connected with the Russian Federation by strong partnership ties, we have growing economic relations and strong cultural ties, and we should be able to develop our relations based on these positive perceptions, positive achievements,” he said.
