Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated during a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov that Yerevan is ready to continue cooperation with Moscow in all directions.
"I am glad to meet you again in Yerevan. I am confident that we will have a constructive and meaningful exchange of views on the bilateral, regional, and international agenda. I want to immediately emphasize that the Republic of Armenia is focused on long-term and mutually beneficial partnership with the Russian Federation in all areas," Mirzoyan noted.
The minister added that the Speaker of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, Valentina Matvienko, 's planned June visit to Yerevan will take place in parallel with the session of the jubilee interregional forum.
Mirzoyan also touched upon the parties' cooperation within the Eurasian Economic Union framework.
"In this context, I cannot fail to note the effective cooperation within the EAEU, as well as the agreement on the creation of a free trade zone between Iran and the EAEU signed on May 15, which will certainly contribute to the growth of the economic potential of the union," said Mirzoyan.
