Reflection on international and regional developments

On May 13, during his working visit to Luxembourg, RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with Timčo Mucunski, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of North Macedonia.

The interlocutors discussed the opportunities for developing bilateral cooperation between Armenia and North Macedonia. To enrich the bilateral agenda, the ministers attached importance to expanding the legal and contractual base, holding regular political consultations between the two ministries, and promoting trade through the activation of business contacts.

Ararat Mirzoyan and Timčo Mucunski touched upon issues of cooperation on multilateral platforms.

The ministers of Armenia and North Macedonia exchanged views on cooperation issues with the European Union. Minister Mirzoyan emphasized that deepening Armenia's partnership with the EU is an important component of Armenia’s balanced foreign policy, in line with Armenian citizens' aspirations.

The meeting also touched upon international and regional developments. Minister Mirzoyan emphasized the importance of signing an agreement to establish peace and interstate relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan and effectively unblocking regional communications in the context of efforts to establish peace in the South Caucasus.
