Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan expressed his condolences on his microblog X on the death of Pope Francis.
"I join people worldwide who mourn Pope Francis's death. He united the hearts of many Armenians with his recognition of Armenian heritage and his dedication to humanitarian work and left an indelible memory of his visit to Armenia in 2016. May the legacy of the Pontiff lead us to a more peaceful world, as expressed in his last message on Easter," the post said.
